I have been thinking of getting a tattoo (and a bike too!) Anyone have any creative unique ideas for one? A friend sent me this one, but I just don't know if it's quite right for me....

Thanks Kissy and AmuseMe for your suggestions! I am going to browse around for awhile before I make a decision and may end up just designing my own.

Bygones? Search! Extensively. Find a photo or a really good artist rendering of what you LOVE. Symbolism is great. Take the photo/picture to the most expensive Tattoo artist in your city (this is important, as there is a really, really good reason to spare no expense). A good artist will have lots of samples of his artwork available for you to browse while he renders his "own" copy of what you want. If you, personally, do not think that he/she has improved upon the existing art you provided, then you have lost nothing by walking away before the needle sinks. Good luck with it.

Lazy, when I read your comment I almost fell off my bed with laughter; I'm still chuckling whilst I type this. Man you are too cute. I did wonder whether there was a hidden acronym but no. And we demand satisfaction that your love truncheon is really that long! Seriously...

OMG lol. I am a little desturbed by that one. LOL Thanks for the laugh though. My friend got a cool hawaiian flower with a japanese symbol in it. It was gorgeous.

Hi Lazy, Thanks for sharing with us about your unique tattoo, and that not only are you respectful, but apparently also like a little kink. 34 capital letters, eh? Having watched a talented artist hand ink 7 capital letters onto a single grain of white rice, I guess the possibility does exists for a very creative artist to have managed to place 34 capital letters on.......uhm...something the size of.......your love truncheon...........or is it really a gopher snake that you have? So, when am I supposed to go munchin at a luncheon....or is it a dinner date we have? That medium rare steak of Bighearts at Ruth Chris is sounding pretty good!

Actually Bizzle, I am thinking of perhaps a butterfly-not sure where yet. Or as Rosy has, a rose. If I go with a rose I figure I'll put it on my chest with the stem going onto my bosom...then as gravity continues to take it's toll, rather than become distorted, my rose will become a gorgeous LONG stemmed rose! And Rosy, I laughed when I saw that tattoo, but would never it. Bestkeptsecret-I haven't made up my mind yet. It's just something I have been thinking about. People decorate themselves in various ways. Some people wear makeup, some wear jewelry and perfume. Some people feel the need to decorate themselves in those ways. I personally don't feel like I NEED a tattoo to make myself "look" better. In fact, if I get one it will most likely be in an inconspicuous area. I am thinking about getting one because I like art and see tattoos as a form of artwork. Thanks Bigheart for the tips! I appreciate it. As for a bike-my brother -whose opinion I value-has a fatboy and he wouldn't let me buy anything but a Harley!

Hi Wanda, Well that's a cute tattoo, but I don't know if I'd want that one lol! wll if you're decided on having a tattoo just browse the tattoo parlors and see if you like anything there. Some of the tattoos are beautiful. Plus if you like to draw or have someone that does, well get inspired and make up your own tattoo, draw what you want and take it in. Most tattoo-ers, will work with what you want. I have a rose and I love it!! Good luck on your choice!! Rosy

That's quite a funny tattoo. But you must be careful with your choice because once its there... you are looking at laser surgery removal. But why do you want to decorate yourself? Are you not beautiful without it? Does it make you less sexy?
