Do our lives touch each others lives by chance or for a reason? Is it a just a coincidence that we meet the people we do? I believe there are no accidents in the people whose lives we touch and whose lives touch ours. I think everything happens for a reason and it is ultimately for our highest good. We either touch someone else's life-to help them learn and grow, or they touch ours to help us be the best we can be. Sometimes we may not see it immediately, sometimes we may not ever see the reason at all (hopefully someday we do) but it seems to me that even the so-called "bad" experiences we have in our lives become "good" experiences if we allow them to force us to change our perceptions and to grow from the lessons these experiences teach us. I laughed recently when someone told me I was a saint because of something that I'd done, and said "hardly"-because I am not. I just truly believe that we should all try our best to live our lives according to the "golden rule", to "do unto others as you would want them to do unto you" (*smile* yeah-I'm not perfect either..lol), to forgive others for their wrongs, even when it goes against all that we want to do, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. I believe if we follow those rules, realizing that each individual on this earth is a worthwhile human being and a part of a greater "oneness", as a drop of water is the ocean, or a grain of sand is to the beach,we are all one with each other in this world we reside in, and we can live in peace and unity and find true happiness in our hearts and souls.

I also totally argee with this blog aw well. The experiences that shape our lives prepare us for something grand later on. I know that all the experiences that I have had helped me become a more effective leader and confident to the friends that I have now. The ones that have passed out of my life, knew me for a reason and I am in the lives I am in now to make some kind of a difference now.

Thanks cruise for your kind words! It's always nice to know someone agrees with you and you aren't going crazy alone! ..lol...I wish more people thought like us! Pathseeker...really nice poem..thanks for sharing it! I like this compilation as well about friends: True friends are kindred spirits-two souls that are knit together. A true friend will lovingly and with tact help you to see the truth, even when it hurts. A true friend will not just seek their own, but will seek the highest good of their friend, and aim to help their friend be the best that they can be. A simple friend seeks to talk with you about your problems,a true friend seeks to help you with your problems. A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument,a true friend calls you after you had a fight. A simple friend expects you to always be there for them, a true friend expects to always be there for you. lol..silly Bizzle..no..no...no..shaking head...we don't want to do one to others before they do one to us!

Reason, Season, or Lifetime Friends When someone is in your life for a reason, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. S/he has come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. S/he is there to meet a need. Then without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, s/he will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes s/he dies. Sometimes s/he walks away. Sometimes s/he acts up or out and forces you to take a stand. What we must realize is that the need has been met. When a person comes into your life for a season, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. S/he may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. S/he may teach you something you have never done. S/he usually gives you an unbelievable amount of joy. Lifetime relationships teach you lifetime lessons. Those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. You must accept the lesson, love the person/people anyway, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
