What do you suggest - metal or plastic boning? I had a bustier I used to wear years ago and it was great but pushed me out there a little too far. I will check out Torrid. I have also found another site that has lingerie and the prices are extremely reasonable and they have wide selection of things from normal teddies to costumes to bodysuits to halters and then some really, really skimpy sexy things. I will look in my favorites list at home and put it on here.

Re: staceynkansas write: I have yet to try a corset. They look uncomfortable to wear too long. One of these days I will have to try one.

There are all kinds - some are more rigid than others - metal versus plastic boning and the amount of boning, some are waist cinchers and come under the bust while other come up over the bust and others come accross the bust kind of half way pushing the ladies up more at the same time as they kind of pinch them down. I have two that are from Torrid and neither is uncomfortable at all too me. Torrids' tend to be a bit more flexible I think. I would maybe start out with one from a Torrid sale - my first one I got from there for $29! I was then able to decide if I could handle it and if I even liked it or got any use out of it. I did and got another one for a song on off their sale file. Most corsets cost a lot more than that - seems to be in the 250-350 range. Definitely something to get you fella involved in picking out - also good to get you fella to participate as I always need help getting them on and off.

So true, confidence in yourself will ooze out to the rest of the world... LOL, corsets...always remember this one thing, don't eat very heavily before putting one on *grin*. So if you're running late, ditch the dinner and suck in tight!!!

I do the things that give me pleasure and that please me and my aesthetic rather than for some external audience be it my mother, or a fella etc. I find if I feel sexy and pretty that I project that and get that kind of response back from folks. Also just going through the motions of personal rituals can be very grounding and healthy. The most difficult thing by far is dieting and excercising - this is for health more than for appearance but for me the two are interrelated. A healthy, robust, glow is very attractive to me. Lately I have been doing the full scale waxing thing (legs, under arms, nethier regions which is a big departure for me. I am a nature girl so had not shaved etc in like 20 years. Anyhow - I must admit that the sensation of smooth skin is extremely erotic for me and so I am glad that I chose to endure the waxing pain. 2nd time I went it did not hurt nearly as much. On a tame level, I will wear an underwire bra - which if a wire pokes free or twists can be pure torture. And then that whole thong thing can be a bit uncomfortable depending on the pair. On a not so tame level, I will wear a corset and /or cruel shoes/boots with the garters and hosery to make a great outfit for the proper ocassion - read: major seduction underway. Oh and the single false eye lashes - I put just one or two lashes on the outer edge of my upper lash to get that cat look without using eye liner - this is an easy fun one. I wore a corset under a sheer blouse last weekend to go to a party at a club- and will not likely do that again soon as both men and women were stopping in their tracks to address my breasts directly. Women were particularly funny - saying things like "thanks for bringing the girls to the party", etc... General pampering like a facial, mani, pedi, full body massage. Oh and once I got talked into botox in my forehead but I could see no difference and it gave me a weird headache, tingly sensation for days so I never r...

Yes, I don't wear makeup as often either. I will when I go out but not to work. I don't see anyone but my coworkers so...LOL

Re: staceynkansas write: I'm high-maintenance and proud of it. lol I love hair, makeup, lotions, oils, nail polishes, perfume, etc. I analyze magazines for new ideas for hair and makeup. I started selling Avon because I am obsessed about skin care and anti-aging products. I am constantly trying new body lotions and oils. I love to feel soft and silky. I tan (I know, I've heard the warnings) once or twice a week and use self-tanners to make myself feel better. I have a whole selection of self-tanners and love to mess with them. I love pedicures. I'm into it all. I love being a woman. lol Oh,don't get me started on shoes. This summer I am addicted to wedges and have every style and color. So much fun.

You go girl!!! Mmmmm...shoes...WEG

Re: SweetCarmelBBBW write: For beauty's sake I pluck my eyebrows. I don?t have really bushy brows, but I do like to keep them plucked and shaped nicely. I like putting on make up when my sweetie and I go out, because he likes it. When I was younger I liked it more, but now I do it for him. I am feeling more natural these days. My beauty routine has changed since I'm older. More creams for the skin. I don?t use anything expensive, just whatever is on sale. My biggest expense is probably mascara, really picky about that. I love MAC products and Estee Lauder mascara. Also, if you use white eyeliner on the inside of your lower eye lid when you have tired eyes, it really makes them pop!

Me plucky eyebrows too *wink*...like'em neat and in order. I praise the powers that be that I don't have to deal with a unibrow, just a pluck here and there and all is in order. I used to wear makeup all the time when I was younger too. I love it, buy it all the time, but don't wear it as often anymore. I like MAC too, their eyeshadow colors rock!! We also have a Sephora here now and that has always been one of my favorite-ist stores to shop. I love mascara too, especially love colored ones!!! Chanel has a new mascara, Inimitable, that's awesome. To the point that stores were having a hard time keeping it in stock for quite some time. Covergirl has one too with the same type of brush. They are some of the best ones I've ever used.

Re: bluegirl2006 write: My favorite thing to do to make myself feel pretty is to get a mani/pedi. I especially like the spa pedicure. My feet and toenails look their best afterward and that makes me feel pretty. Odd huh? lol

Not odd at all!!! I love manicures and pedicures as well. Sometimes it's just a little pampering that can do wonders.
