*grin*, I am oncall this weekend so no loud dance clubs, movies, etc. So I am watching tv, surfing the 'net and finding things to bug people about...LOL For beauty's sake...what do you do in the name of beauty? Wear makeup, color your hair, wear nail polish, pretty lingerie, jewelry, nice clothes, etc. Do you feel the need to beautify yourself for a date or any other event? Or do you do it for yourself, the heck with what other people think? Lastly, what makes YOU feel beautiful? Not beautiful based on the opinion's of others, but your own self appreciation. Is it your skin tone? Eye color? Your figure? Your feet?...

Re: wyldechild write: Re: bizzle49 write: ooh honeybiscuit and wyldechild...you two wouldn't be the kind of exercise my cardiologist is telling me to get *sighs*....not to mention you guys are miles away as well Whhhaaaattt!!! Doesn't he believe in deep breathing, toning the muscles. Gee whiz, it's not like I would make you wear a corset...silly boy...*wink*

Bizz we would have you all toned up and smiling so wide the Doctor would have to write you up in JAMA as a miracle of modern medicine - and of course it would;ve actually been the administration and nurturing of Wylde and I that had actually made you better than new! Those damn doctors are so pompous!

Re: cutensillybbw write: removing body hair is the WORSTESTIST thing in the world! I hate it... plucking eyebrows, shaving shaving shaving legs and underarms... sigh... and now the new trend is to have no body hair ANYWHERE- i refuse- trimming is one thing, but another spot to shave... forget it, lol

LOL, you're too funny. Yes, it can be a hassle, whether you pluck, wax or shave!!!

Go Stacy! Have fun with that. OMG anticipating a "special meeting" with "apecial someone" for the next month or two will likely make that meeting very hot - especially if you unveil a corset on him. too yummy!

Re: honeybiscuit write: I know of that vendor - although i;ve never gotten anything from there - they have great prices and lovely stuff. Running a non profit keeps me in the sale racks. But, I have word from a Domme BBW friend that this is the best resource for BBW corsets and some spicier fetish wear.

They have a hobble skirt that I've been eyeballing for a few weeks now...me-yoooowl... It is damn unfortunate that fetish wear can be so expensive. There are a couple of leather places that I've been dying to order things from but just can't bring myself to fork over several hundred bucks per item. I think my kids like to eat...LOL. But, there's always xmas, yes?? I remember when my ex and I used to haunt the leather shops in NYC, we priced having a corset made and it was in the realm of $900-$1200. Ouch!!! Needless to say, we opted not to order one. I do have to say though, I much prefer something that's easy to get off!!! LOL

Re: honeybiscuit write: ....Torrids' tend to be a bit more flexible I think. I would maybe start out with one from a Torrid sale - my first one I got from there for $29! I was then able to decide if I could handle it and if I even liked it or got any use out of it. I did and got another one for a song on off their sale file. ...

Mmmmm...Torrid...

Re: staceynkansas write: What do you suggest - metal or plastic boning? I had a bustier I used to wear years ago and it was great but pushed me out there a little too far. I will check out Torrid. I have also found another site that has lingerie and the prices are extremely reasonable and they have wide selection of things from normal teddies to costumes to bodysuits to halters and then some really, really skimpy sexy things. I will look in my favorites list at home and put it on here.

Skimpy? Did I hear the word skimpy? Yehaw!!! If you check the blog on here for plus size clothes, there are quite a few lingerie places that I added and Amuse's list has some as well. Steel boning is very rigid and is good for waist training, heavier fabrics/leather and maintaining shape. Plastic boning is more flexible and provides a more relaxed fit but less support. It depends on the style of the corset too. Plastic boning would be a better choice for a corset you might wear for an evening out, a club, lingerie, etc.

Re: staceynkansas write: I have yet to try a corset. They look uncomfortable to wear too long. One of these days I will have to try one.

A custom made corset isn't too bad to wear for a period of time. It all depends on what you are doing. Have plans for lots of physical activity? Stick to something less restricting. As Honey mentioned, they do tend to be pricey. But if it's a item of clothing you intend to enjoy, then it's more than worth the money to have one made for you. There's a vendor on ebay that I buy my leather corsets and skirts from and their prices and quality are great and they do custom work as well for a good price. They have some wicked hobble dresses...delish *wink* Now getting in and out of them can be a challenge depending on the style. You can change the way the laces thread to make them easier to self lace and tighten and some will have two sets of lacing to make it easier to self lace. You can also find ones that lace up the front as well.
