I took a picture of my barn cat, Jeeves, the other day and was gratified to find that I had captured more than I intended.
I meant to catch a snapshot of him, but what I got was a great example of Cat-ittude. IMHO, Jeeves is gracing the table saw in the barn with his majestic presence - lol - which is all the more funny because he is anything but majestic. Poor buddy has been terrorized by the barn mice in the past and confidence is, for him, an alien concept.
The light was a surprise, too, the warm autumnal color matched by the grungy bottle of anti-freeze in the background! Very fall/Halloween-ish.
Just thought I'd share. And if I don't hear from you before then, Happy Halloween! Imma be a monkey this year!

I know this is tacky . . .

I would be remiss if I did not introduce Reddawg, too.
Red was abandoned on the highway outside the farm and sort of adopted the place. The people that had him before must've been prize winning EEJITS cuz Red is the most soulful dog I have ever met. I am lucky to know him.

*big pets to yer boys* Milo looks like my kind of cat. Even the crossed paws speak of a man who knows he is large and in charge!
I know what you mean about grandkid photos! I love all my babies here on the farm and am proud of them. This is one of my girls on her zero-th birthday. I was so privileged to have been there while she was being born. Janey is a very pretty 2 year old red dun mare now . . *sigh* They grow up so fast!

Poor Jeeves has flashbacks to a time when my father tossed him in a grain bin full of mice. We heard Batman-esque sound effects: *THUD* *MROW* *EEK* etc for some time before I opened the lid to survey the carnage, or so I thought.
Out jumps Jeeves, permanently scarred by the experience. I even imagined I saw mice shaking their fists at him and yelling in tiny voices "YEA! Ya big sissy!"
Poor buddy, he hasn't been the same since.
Amy
ND,
I wish I could say that they were . . .

Hey Better - I notice that you have a pu$$y too - so behave yourself.lolol And because having photos of kitties and showing them to people is an uncontrollable urge the way grandkid picts are for others - here are my boys. Not nearly the lovely photo you took Amy - hell that barn looks s inviting I would not mind hanging out there with your catboy. lol

Wow he's beautiful. Yes he looks like he could take on the biggest barn mouse around. If I allowed my girls to date, I would have let them give him a call...LOL.
