Stanno's visa for permanent residency in the US was approved!!!!! His interview was Friday and I flew out to support him and he did a wonderful job. We applied January 4th and were approved July 25th. It has been a long haul but so worth it. He is moving here in September and we will marry in October. We are sooooooo excited and thrilled and can't wait to get our life together started.

It did seem like forever and then boom the visa was approved. August 6th is our anniversary of me winking at him and it is amazing how far we have come. Thank you everyone for the nice words!!! less...

I think that a lot of people shy away from even contemplating a LDR because of the obvious difficulty.
It is great to know that it can work, can have a happy ending.
I guess you never really know where that person that is right for you, may be.
