Stanno's visa for permanent residency in the US was approved!!!!! His interview was Friday and I flew out to support him and he did a wonderful job. We applied January 4th and were approved July 25th. It has been a long haul but so worth it. He is moving here in September and we will marry in October. We are sooooooo excited and thrilled and can't wait to get our life together started.
PS- For those who do not know, I met my fiance on largefriends last August and were engaged in November and have been working on a visa so he could move here.

Visa Update!!!!!!

Hello - I wanted to give an update on the visa process. Friday our fiance visa application was approved to be processed. We submitted it January 4th and got approval (finally) May 9th. The process isn't over yet. We have more paperwork to submit and Stanno has to have a medical exam and interview at the Embassy in London so we are hoping he will be approved to move here in a couple of months. He is here visiting me now so it was so nice to receive the notification when we were together. Hopefully soon we will be able to post a wedding photo on the success page!

Smoosh mentioned that it is too quiet here and I agree. So Roll Call Time! Tell us something new, different, interesting, etc. that has been going on with you lately.
I'll go first. I have been at my new job for a month and it is going well but very hard to learn a new company and new system after being at my last place for almost 14 years. Stanno was just here for a month and went home a few weeks ago. I am going out in April for a week to visit him. I just started my last course in college so I will be done in 5 weeks!!!
So, how about you?!

When I come to the site the 'who's online' window comes up and immediately a chat window pops up with the same guy each time and it says I have to upgrade to chat. My profile is hidden so obviously he isn't trying to get ahold of me, it is an advertisement for LargeFriends membership. Kind of annoying. Is this happening to anyone else?

I am job hunting. I had an interview yesterday that sounds promising. It feels so weird to me. I haven't been on a job search or interviewed in 13 years! It is so nerve-racking trying to find the right job, salary and benefit requirements and the right working atmosphere. I knew this was coming since I started back to college. I knew I would be looking for a job that would use my new degree but it is hard to leave a job that you love.

What are your plans?
My family is usually gone so I kind of do untraditional things. This year a friend and I are going to the movies and going out for dinner. Sometimes I will rent movies and order pizza, a few times I have caught a hockey game and went to dinner out but mostly it is a day to put up Christmas decorations and relax and get ready for the big shopping day on Friday.

Christmas Shopping

Not too much longer until Christmas. Who has started shopping? Do you shop early or wait until the last minute?
I prefer to shop early and try to pick up little things throughout the year. But with my hectic schedule I haven't been able to do that too much this time. I have a few things packed away but not much. I try to do about 75% of my shopping before December and then do the last 25% right before Christmas. I love the sales and rush of the crowd right before Christmas. I also love the after Thanksgiving sales and the competition atmosphere in the stores. lol

Please tell me....what does biology have to do with accounting. I am finishing up my bachelors in accounting and I am required to take a biology class. I am not a science person now or in the past or ever will be. When will I ever use this knowledge that I am struggling to understand. I am an accountant and I love numbers and absolutes. I do not understand theories and experiments. I didn't like biology in high school and I really don't like it now.
I know, I'm whining. lol Thanks for letting me vent.

I know all of us are cautious with meeting people online but I just want to warn you ladies of a guy on this site. I have been talking to him for a few weeks and he seemed real nice. He was from LA and his work sent him to London for a few weeks. Then out of the blue his work sent him to Nigeria. That is when I became cautious. Anyway today he told me that he needed some help. He was expecting a check but couldn't get it where he was......you know the scam. I know this site like others has those types but I just wanted to warn you.
I don't know if this is the right thing to do or not but if you want to know who he is, email me. I like a heads up so I won't waste my time trying to get to know someone who has his own motives. I don't believe in calling people out in blogs but I just want us ladies to be safe.

How many dating sites do you have profiles on? I am on three. This one I participate most on. I am getting ready to drop one of them because I haven't had much luck with it. By far LF is the one that I have had the most luck on and the most fun on.
