When we hear BBW (Big Beautiful Women) all kinds of things run through our minds. I can't even begin to wonder where men's minds start and end with that thought. You're average guy
(I assume) pictures some pin up girl (i.e. Marylin Monroe) with her sensual hips and full lips. While others tend to picture the extremes that fall along either side of her well-defined curvy lines. So I ask, to find the consensus....What is a BBW? What does that meaning entail? At what point do women become BBW? Should there be qualifying points to clarify for all what exactly makes a woman big and beautiful?

Yes and no, in some circles¿ BBW also ¿¿ stands for a Big Busty Woman.¿a larger framed woman¿ can be both¿ Curvey and Amplely¿¿ endowed Above the navel and below the neckline.¿ But I prefer this deninition of¿BBW" Big in spirit, Bountiful in grace¿ and All woman

It's tricky in these days of political correctness to find a "one word fits all" description of us, so BBW could be the closest so far to something that's fairly inoffensive.

This is a global site, although quite dominated by Americans/Canadians we have a sprinkling of all manner of other nationalities who no doubt have their own terminology.

From a Brits point of view I see the descriptions "thick" and "fluffy" used here regularly by members across the pond. Neither of those translate well into English!

Thick is, in short, used to describe "thick in the head" as in stupid.

Fluffy would better describe someone of no substance - kind of "cute and harmless but not much going on between the ears". It's a name a small child would give a pet kitten or rabbit, lol.

So personally I'd rather be referred to as BBW because although I don't fit the hourglass figure stereotype that some might expect from that, at least it isn't suggesting I don't have a brain!

It is mind over matter. If you don't mind it does not matter. I feel it is(Fat Vs BBW)a frame of mind. When I was at my heaviest. I was and I won't mince words FAT! I Felt that I was unworthy of love because of my size. However, I realized talking to several people here. It is 98% Attitude that makes one sexy. If you don't feel sexy in your heart and love yourself . How can others do the same, towards you? Some say,The journey of a thousand miles must begin with that first step. So love your self greatly. So others can see your heart .The physcal body is just a vessel for, the spirit inside. Does Gall in a Crystal goblet make the Gall any less bitter. Does, cool spring water from a old Bamma Jelly jar any less refreshing.Because of the continer it is in? Some of us are just in a larger vessel better hold our bountiful spirit. It is the precious gems in the vessel that is the real Treasure.

I have never really seen a pinup as someone that I wanted to be with. Usually they are more into themselves than other people. When I was younger I was well built and I had a lot of lady friends. I like ladies that I can sit down and have a conversation with. I usually don't judge people but I only go by past experiences. 9 times out of 10 the ladies that do not fit the pinup woman type are usually more friendly and do not prejudge you.

I think that in this day and time to be called a nice name or acronym it is refreshing. Most generally people are to negative about things and people. It is that way with a lot of things in society to day.

I say if you like the term BBW use it, or if you don't let people know that you do not like that term.

I think that beauty comes more from the inside of a person. These days just about anyone can change their looks, but what is inside is harder to change sometimes.

I think the difference between beeing FAT and BBW is that "fat women" don`t think they are sexy or atractive, meanwhile a BBW woman does.
Right now...I am just fat, or chubby, but I quite envy those who feel really beautiful. (in a good way of course)
I wish someday I will meet someone that will make me feel that way...

How does that go, a rose by any other name. I think BBW is a politically correct way of saying Fat.  I think we are so afraid of labels, its just words. When I describe myself I say fat, in fact right now really damn fat. Its just a word and the truth. You can call yourself anything you want but fat is fat.  Note I am only speaking for myself but I don't feel the need to sugarcoat it or fancy it up. I prefer to live my life in black and white. BBW is another way of moving into the gray area.  Now that does not mean putting up wiith anyone putting you down but there is an incredible freedom in owning your own choices, making no excuses and saying it the way it is.

Cheers!
