I was just wondering if buying a membership to the site seemed to be worth while. If anyone out there can give me a bit of insight or feedback and let me know - pros and cons - I would be very appreciative. Thanks!

I joined the other day for one month. But I won't be renewing. ? The women are really inetresting here (judging by the blogs) and there are some nice seeming men. ? But the extra benefits of the gold membership just aren't there. ? But you know, if you were prepared to really 'work' the site for a while it would most likely be worth it.However for me, I think chatting is the way to really get to 'know' someone. (In a real time chat with a bunch of people, it's harder for people to hide their true nature I think). And this site has little or no interactivity. ? Good luck and I will let you know if things change! ? :) ? ? ?

I did the later and found that I was paying to send maybe one email per month - not cost effective when you consider that every man you find interesting may not reciprocate. I think it works best if you are very focused, willing to invest some time and can make quick judgements regarding your interest. I know, that sounds a bit cold.
Also, I agree with Petale46 regarding not being able to see who has put you on their "favorites" list. Knowing in advance that someone finds you interesting enough to add to their list...oh, I don't know...might that inspire us to pay to contact them? LF? Are you listening?

This site for me has become a blog site where I talk with intelligent, beautiful, fabulous women... euh!!! and other human beings... It's like a hair dresser salon where I can vent on everything and anything and always get an interesting answer.
So no to membership... not really worth it. It has very little attribute of a good dating website. No interactivity between members. Let me get interested in the guy and I'll get a membership. Allow for almost no contact and I won't. I can't even check who's interested in me right now... so I have no idea who's on the other side of the membership, maybe nothing... If I don't know what I'm getting why should I pay without knowing.

1. You used to be able to edit your replies on the blogs, now you can't. 2. It takes MUCH, much longer for non-member replies to be "counted" in the blogs 3. I have updated my profile TWICE since last year. It recently has reverted back to the old version, and say's it's not been updated for over a year. 4. There has been a drastic decrease in the quality of "wink-able" men. Also, those sending winks are not what I would call "viable options".
This is only a few of the items that I have issue with on this particular site. I was considering going Gold this year to celebrate my final divorce decree, but I have since changed my mind.
