Is it just me, or do some of the ladies on this site blatantly lie about their age when filling out their profile. I mean, if you are gonna lie about a year or two , that's reasonable, but.... I opened a ladies profile today from the instant messenger list that stated she was 35. Well, I won't mention any names, but there is no way this woman could have been thirty five years years old. Unless she posted a picture of her mother by mistake. Anyway, I do not mean to insult anyone who has posted their profile on this site. I just think lying about yourself right off the start is no way to begin any kind of relationship.

Hey girls and guys...I've discovered the secret to looking several years younger than my true age....I take LOUSY pictures. When I meet someone in person, I get SO many compliments. I'll take what I can get, lol.

I am honest about my age but as far as the pict thing...well... I have to say I'm guilty. The pict isn't very old but my looks have changed a lot this last year, my hair is different and makes me look almost like a different person. I look like I could be my own relative if I put a pict of how I look now to the pict I have up now. I need to update it but I have to git a camera first, hopefully I can do it sometime within the next to weeks. Someone at work said I look like I'm my own older and hotter sister now.

In our defense that not all of us are lie'es. i am cumming up for 36 (yes i know old to some) and i have just uploaded a pic of me. I would be more than happy to send a new pic of me to anyone that asks to reassure everybody. So please girls don't shoot the messenger.

Why not be honest from the get go? If you lie about something so simple, that would definitely lead the other person to think - - what else you gonna lie about??? I met up and dated someone from this site. His profile lists his age as 38. He'll be 46 on his next birthday. He kept saying, I'm 10 yrs older than you....and I was like, huh??? No you're not. Well - - turns out he is and that was the only thing he lied about. So.....other things revealed themselves in time and I pretty much washed my hands of him. But his reasoning for lying about the age was that he wasn't getting any attention or winks if he posted himself over 40 and that as soon as he would meet up with someone he'd tell them the truth. Yeah......not......he'd tell the truth only when/if he was called out on something.

I agree.....honesty is the only way to go. It's hard to tell on here who is being honest and who isn't. I used to lie about my age, but now, who cares. I'm 49 and I'll be 50 next year. It's part of who I am, the whole package. That's what I'm offering. Sure I have to wear stronger glasses to read, my knees are stiff and once in awhile I put something stupid in the fridge like my book lol. But heck, it's part of the charm.

Well Chris maybe she had a bad haircut. My two profile pics were taken only about a month appart but it looks like I gained ten years. I sooooo hate looking my age because I used to pass for 25. Ah well hopefully it will grow out. You're right though about telling the truth. It's known on dating sites women lie about age and weight and men lie about their height and how much money they make. Best of luck finding your honest woman I'll be rooting for you from now on!
