I have a theory that fits this scenario and I've been there many times, more than I care to think about. Not to mention that I have a thin friend who's been there also.
Here's my theory: it's the Heinz 57 kinds theory. There are tons of brand names out there for different item, clothes, food,shoes etc., we all have our own taste and once we find the style,taste and fit we tend to not stray from out "brand" too much.
I think this also applies to people. We find something, size,shape,personality that "fits".
The second part of the is that we learn something about the Toad that insults us. We learn to identify his/her personality and cross that toad off our list of people we will deal with from now on.
There are ways to say no in a polite way. If someone is insulting why bother with them at all?

OK I may be giving away a man's secret here but check this out. There is an email being sent to guys on the net(I got one and don't know how they got my addy). Anyway, this email is about a class that will teach men how to get women to make the first move. One of the secrets they give away to get you to order is to find something on the woman's profile and say it is not for you. One example they gave is to tell them (ok watch this) that your weight is not right for them, or they don't like redheads, something like that. According to the people that is selling the book or whatever it is this is suppose to make you women so desperate to prove that you are right for this man that you cyber with them right then and there,or something like that. lol Guys I hope I didn't just give away your big thing. The only I am putting this here is that it sounds so stupid to me, and I hope to you.
