I used to love comming here to read the blogs and now... Whats happened to us? Come on people liven it up! I'm not even a member here anymore and I can still blog! OK, now let me get down off of my soap box and lets see what we can do to get some blood pumping around here! I am a 46 year old large and lovely, big and beautiful, fat and friendly...who the hell am I kidding... Honey, I am thick and Juicy! That is what I prefer to be called! No kidding. Looks aside, I did feel that my weight was my barrier to the dating world! Not true! I have found several men more than willing and able to look beyond all of my fluffyness... and the ideals of the perfect trophy girlfriend. Most have finally realized that it aint gunna happen. Gurls, I know that some of us were/still are looking for the perfect, hunky romantic Romeo to sweep us off of our feet... Sigh Hey, we can still dream cant we? Now in order to raise my chances of meeting the one for me I had to get my heart broken in a few places, and I must admit, I have broken a few myself. as well as put myself out there... I think it has to do with the numbers game. like... the more times you swing a bat at the ball the higher percentage of a chance of hitting it is... although the higher percent of misses is also expected. But my point being if we continue to swing at the ball (meet new people) the better our chances of making contact (hey this works for baseball and dating). What do you say! Don't give up! Get back up on that horse and enjoy the ride! Oh honey and I am really enjoying myself now more than ever. I know for a fact that there are more than the 10 of us that blog here that actually read these things... Lets get some communication going! Youre only going to meet new people if you decide to put yourself in a position to do so! Come on... Blog! Make comments, read others... I love the friends that I made here and I sure would like to make some more. Come on out of your shells and say something! Elaine

Barefoote, Welcome to LF blogs! Wow, you are sooo right! I would like to say that America is starting to wake up... I see a movement towards larger people getting more respect in the world. It is a tremendously slow process, but it is happening. Why not Date younger fellas? I enjoy dating people period. If they are mature enough and intelligent enough to catch my interest, I go for it... one of my current lovers is 6 years my junior, he is bigger than I am, but that is just what he happens to be...another is only 2 months younger and is smaller than I am, but taller. a third is smaller but the same height and older by one year. They all know about each other and we have decided to keep our relationships "casual" LOL. Have you ever tried a younger smaller fella? I never thought I would either, nor did I ever think that I would date women, but I did that too. People are people... Just don't give up in your search, broaden your horizons. If you want people to accept you the way you are...you're going to have to accept them as well. Good luck hon, Elaine

Well, im new so first im gonna say "allo. I call myself full figured and voluptous. I'm balanced but a size 22. I've never considered myself a real BBW, not that it really makes any difference. But, however, I find the same problem with dating guys in the area that I live in as well. I live in a 80% miltary town in Colorado. Most of the gentlemen here, are from the bases and young. Which makes finding a larger guy hard as heck. I've personally never dated a small guy. I like 6ft and over, with more than 250 lbs on him. Guess it was my way of feeling "normal" next to a guy. When did having some weight on your bones become the new "racism" in America? I must have missed it. I still cook the old fashioned way with a pot and a spoon. I work and sing at night. I can still do the splits at 45. But what in the world happened to us all that the "marketing mafia" decided that a size 2 Barbie was the perfect woman? We get bombarded by it on the telly, the magazines, the newspapers. Over half the US is overweight, and why don't we stand up and fight back??? We make the same money, buy the same basic items, and have great lives. So what the heck happened to the world? When did being "curvy and chubby" become taboo? My 2 cents anyway. Once upon a time, being large meant a sign of being successful in life,,,what happened? Barefoote

I have found that local guys are hard to find, but they are there! I have just recently met two of them in person and I like what I saw! Good luck to you Lynne, sounds like you've got a good head on your shoulders! Elaine

I like to use the description of voluptous or curvaceous for my figure.I'm on several sites for bbws and a couple of sites for general dating. I'm finding I get lots of interest from guys from the UK, and everywhere but the Atlanta area where I live. I swear 90% of the guys out there are too shy to meet a woman in person. A lot of the guys just want someone to chat online with. I've bluntly stated in my profiles I want a local guy someone I can reach out and touch. I'm comfortable with most of my curves. I exercise and have reduced my weight and my size and I don't think I look bad for my age, but the local ones are elusive. I think the local guys are chatting with the women that are far away.

Amen to that Baby. I'll admit that I spend way too much time working these days and don't allow myself much of a personal life (I miss you Neal) but I'd certainly make more of an effort to login here more often if we could liven the place up a bit.¿ :)

Butter, you doin ok? Don't get me wrong about the men who pass through my life. I am rather liking the odds now that I can see what this dating thing is really about. I think it's about seeing how many people we can click with in the shortest amount of time and decide whom we would fit with the best before the other one runs away. LOL... Sometimes it seems like that, but I have to be honest. I have met some extremely intriguing people along this journey and though some of the way was filled with tears and heartache. Most of it was filled with excitement, joy, lust(I know its a sin)desire and happiness. Perhaps someday Love will be there too. Who knows... if we stop trying what do we get...Nothing! I am liking my odds more and more every day! I met another someone and he may not be a cowboy, he is a mighty good man. Thursdays are the BEST day of the week. ;)

Not true I do like most of my fellow man, but lately there seems to be a select of few knot heads that muck it up for us few guys who truely looking for a partner. And I agree with Elaine that most of the folks here are too chicken to post. Case in point only One person responsed to my post. A post in the days of old would have had many replies .

Well Elaine you assume most of the knot heads that visit this site can read and understand the printed word. I imply they are just looking at the pictures and pass by those who they deem as not worthy of their attentions based solely on sight not substance. Hence I imply that they are not worthy of a true womans affection because the can't see past their own size bigotry. They cannot see that a True man does not judge by perceived appearance's, but words and deeds of the person. Those who can read are just too lazy to reply with any thing truely relavant. or tend to show what track their mind is taking. Wich winds up very quickly in the cesspool of depravity.

Island, How funny! So thats why no one from the UK is interested in me!! LOL Thats ok, you have the market cornered over there anyways.

Ha ha - not so much that I have the market cornered but as far as this site's concerned there is NO market in the UK! I'm just on here for the blogs these days, I have no other expectations of this site. But if a guy from the UK tells you you're thick, don't feel like you need to be polite to him :)
