After we got rid of the snitch there still remained the question what to do with the $ 2 million in drug money. I couldn't trust my associate not to try and get me out of the way as well so that he could make the money all his. But salvation came when I saw the freezer... would certainly describe an interesting day but would be far off from reality and the mundanity of my daily routine.

I couldn't trust my associate not to try and get me out of the way as well so that he could make the money all his. But salvation came when I saw the freezer... would certainly describe an interesting day but would be far off from reality and the mundanity of my daily routine.
But that doesn't mean that I am not having a great time and plenty of fun. Though today I decided to take it easy and after an extended shopping trip to town to stay in and watch some movies.
After seeing a Spanish movie called "Pan's Labyrinth" (thanks for the tip V.) I am about to enjoy a Korean movie by the title of "A tale of two sisters".
I enjoy all sorts of movies but from time to time I feel the need for a foreign language film, specially Asian movies. The undubbed, original language somehow lends to a movie's authenticity. But it's not only the language, it's the whole foreign setting that makes the plot more fitting.
Over the last couple of years there have a couple of great originals like The Ring, The Italian Job and now The Eye remade by Hollywood. But whoever adapted it didn't seem to spend a lot of time on making it within the cultural context, as was superbly done with the transition from The Seven Samurai to The Magnificent Seven. Those remakes somehow seem wrong, in a strange, unexplicable way.
But enough of that. It's time for me to enjoy the subtle terror of a good Asian chille now.
(In case you wondered, I do have a lot of other interests beside movies. Ask and you might find out. ;-) )
